I later decided to obtain my masters degree as a Reading Specialist from Southeastern State University, Durant Oklahoma. I frequency attend workshops that will benifit my students.

In 2014, I moved to Hugo MIddle School where I taught computer skills to 6th through 8th grades. I enjoyed my time at HMS but after 3 years I decided to return to 2nd grade at Hugo Elementary School.
With the COVID-19, I was offered the position of being the 2nd and 3rd grade Virtual Teacher. I excitedly accepted!! This will be a learning experience for my students, parents and myself. However, I know we will enjoy this new adventure.
I have had the pleasure of teaching in other area. One of the things that I truly enjoyed was teaching adults technelogy skills through Kimichmi Technology Center in Antlers, OK. I also taught GED classes in Antlers for a few years. That position was very rewarding. I have taught workshops for teachers for many years and continue to do so at the present time. Teaching is in my heart and soul.
I moved to Antlers, Oklahoma in 1998 from Tahlequah, Oklahoma with my 2 children Adam and Debbie were 11 and 7 years old at the time. One year later I began my teaching career at Antlers Elementary School. In 2002, I married a wonderful man, MIke Butler. We have 4 children, Michael, Josh, Adam and Debbie. We are blessed with 10 grandchildren. They include 6 boys and 4 girls.
When I am not teaching I enjoy several activities. I read often. I like using and sharing Color Street nails, making quilts, scrapbooking and playing games on my iPad among many other things.
