About Margaret Tonubbee

Hello Parents,

My name is  Margaret Tonubbee.

I am currently starting my 15th year of teaching Kindergarten at Hugo Elementary School.

I am a  Graduate from Southeastern State University in Durant, Okla.   I received my BS in Elementary Education in 1975 and l977 my Masters in Early Childhood.  In 1994, I recieved my Reading Specialization from TWU in Denton, Tx.

I  retired from Paris ISD in 2008 with 32 years of teaching.  The last 17 years in Paris I taught a specialized reading program called Reading Recovery.  This program is targeted for Kindergarten and First grade students that are not reading on their suggested level of reading.

Those last 17 years of working with children that had reading descrepancies greatly helped me be ready to teach to the needs of today’s children and our current Oklahoma Standards.

I live in the country outside of Arthur City,Texas by Pat Mayes Lake. I have four grown chidren.  I have 5 wonderful cildren; four grandsons and one sweet granddaughter.  My husband is a Truck driver working independently on the ‘Long Hall’ througout  the central parts of this United States.

I look forward to teaching your children this year here at Hugo Elementary School. Please feel free the contact me at the school or my email if you have any concerns about your child.
